Xenopixel V3 Sound Board

 

The Xenopixel V3 Sound Board utilizes time sensitive button presses and gestures in order to control the Scrap Metal. The time sensitive button presses use intervals of 0.5 seconds.

 

Terminology Overview: Sound Fonts, Blade Style, Ignition Style, and Preset

Sound Font: A combination of all of the sound effects that you hear when interacting with the Scrap Metal.

Blade Style: The effect that you see when the Blade is ignited. There are multiple Blade Styles to choose from: Steady, Unstable, Rainbow Blade, Candy Blade, Cracked Blade, Pulse, Flash Blade, and Fire Blade.

Ignition Style: The effect that you see while the Blade is igniting. There are multiple Ignition Styles to choose from: Standard Mode, Broken Ignition, Photon Ignition, Stack Ignition, Warp Ignition, Phaser ignition, Scavenger Ignition, and Hunter Ignition.

Preset: A combination of the Sound Font, the Blade Color, the Ignition Style and the Blade Style. 


Turning the Scrap Metal On:

Hold the Power Button until you hear the Scrap Metal say “Power On”.

Turning the Scrap Metal Off:

The Scrap Metal will turn off automatically after 10 minutes of inactivity. If you want to turn the Scrap Metal off manually, with the blade retracted hold down the Power Button until you hear “Power Off”.

Gesture Controls: 

Twist On/Off: Turn the Scrap Metal Clockwise and Counterclockwise to Ignite/Retract the Scrap Metal blade.  

Stab On: Hold the blade parallel to the ground, then making a forward stabbing motion to ignite the Scrap Metal blade. 

Swing On: Swing the Scrap Metal to ignite the blade.


Igniting the Scrap Metal:

Click the Power Button or use Gesture Controls.

 

Instructions for when the Scrap Metal Blade is Ignited 

Retract the Blade / Turn off the Blade: Press and hold the Power Button until the blade retracts.  

Blaster Deflection: Click the Power Button. 

Using the Force: With the Scrap Metal blade pointing up, Twist the Scrap Metal Clockwise and Counterclockwise while holding the Power Button.

Blade Lock Up: Press and hold the Power Button and Gently Tap the Scrap Metal / Blade. Release the Power Button to end the Blade Lock Up effect. 

Tip Drag: Point the blade down towards the ground, then making a forward stabbing motion to initiate the Tip Drag effect.

Precisely Change the Color of the Blade with Infinite Color Options: Press and hold the power button for 1 second. The Scrap Metal will announce “Color Change”. Rotate the Scrap Metal until you find the color you would like to use. Once you have found the color you would like to use click the Power Button to select the color. The Scrap Metal will announce “Color Selected”.

Quickly Change the Color of the Blade with Preset Color Options: Point the Scrap Metal blade down, Twist the Scrap Metal Clockwise and Counterclockwise while holding the Power Button. The Scrap Metal will announce “Color Change”. Rotate the Scrap Metal until you find the color you would like to use. Once you have found the color you would like to use click the Power Button to select the color. The Scrap Metal will announce “Color Selected”.


Instructions for when the Scrap Metal Blade is Retracted

Adjusting the Volume: Press the Power Button for 0.5 seconds to adjust the volume. The Scrap Metal will announce the volume level that was selected. There are 4 volume selections: Mute, High Volume, Medium Volume, Low Volume. Volume can be precisely adjusted using percentages in the mobile application. 

Changing Blade Style: Press the Power Button for 1 second to adjust the change the Blade Style. There are 8 Blade Styles to choose from: Steady, Unstable, Rainbow Blade, Candy Blade, Cracked Blade, Pulse, Flash Blade, and Fire Blade.

Changing Ignition Style: Press the Power Button for 1.5 seconds to adjust the change the Ignition Style. There are 8 Ignition Styles to Choose from: Standard Mode, Broken Ignition, Photon Ignition, Stack Ignition, Warp Ignition, Phaser ignition, Scavenger Ignition, and Hunter Ignition.

Changing Preset: Press the Power Button until the Scrap Metal announces the name of the Sound Font  that was selected or Point the Scrap Metal blade down and Twist the Scrap Metal Clockwise and Counterclockwise.
Play Background Music / Track: Point the Scrap Metal blade Up then Twist the Scrap Metal Clockwise then Counterclockwise. This only works if the Sound Font has a background track available. 

 

Neopixel Blade Compatibility: 

The conversion kit utilizes a Neopixel Blade with a 1 inch diameter. The Xenopixel V3 Sound Board is configured by default to use a 36 inch blade length. Any blade with a 1 inch diameter should work with the Scrap Metal Conversion Kit.

The blade length can be adjusted in the Xenopixel V3 Sound Board settings using the mobile application “Xeno Configurator". Once the app has been downloaded, pair the Scrap Metal to the application. Once paired, navigate to Settings in the “Xeno Configurator” application. The setting that controls the blade length is called "main blade length".

 

Charging the Scrap Metal: 

To charge the Scrap Metal use the included USB-C cable and a 5v 1A or less AC Adapter (Using an AC Adapter with higher voltage / amperage can damage the electronics).

When you plug the Scrap Metal in the Scrap Metal will announce “Charging”. When The battery is fully charged the Scrap Metal will announce “Battery Fully Charged”.  


Bluetooth Connectivity Using the "Xeno Configurator" Application: 

The application allows the user to change blade colors, add Sound Fonts, adjust volume of the Scrap Metal, Modify the Button Configuration, Upgrade the Firmware, Change Blade Length Settings, and much more.

The chassis is custom designed and is manufactured using additive manufacturing using a PETG material that provides strength and heat resistance. This product has not been tested for dueling and as a result this product should not be used for dueling. The purchaser is responsible for any damage that occurs if they chose to use the product for dueling. 

The Scavenger’s Hutt is not responsible for any damage that occurs while modifying Scrap Metal Switch. Please watch the installation instructions in their entirety before purchasing/using this product. 

This product contains a lithium ion battery. If the battery becomes damaged stop using the device immediately and safely dispose of the battery.
